Rogers Youth Hockey Association

The City of Rogers and volunteers from RYHA are working late nights (early mornings, too) to get the outdoor ice ready.  Outdoor ice practices will be scheduled just as soon as the ice is ready.  Please stay off the outdoor ice until the City officially opens the rinks.  A solid foundation of ice is critical to improve the quality and extend the life especially as the weather fluctuates.  If you are interested in assisting in the maintenance of the outdoor ice, please contact Jim Amoe.

12-19-2011:

We are getting some decent weather within the next couple of days/weeks (I Hope)

we will be butting hrs up on Dibs for flooding and outdoor ice maintence for those that would like get there volunteer hrs maintaing the outdoor ice. The City will be flooding early morning and we would be looking for volunteers to flood in the evenings. the hrs we would be looking to cover would be from 8:30pm to 10:00pm (we need at least two volunteers per night with three max) to make this work. we need to build the ice up aprox. another 1/2" before the city can paint the entire sheet of ice with a specail paint.

Once the city is able to aplie the paint we will ne to get another 1/2" of ice down before it will be ready to skate on. so hopefully this can all take place next week.
